Hi Poets,
February has been a challenging month for me since 2020 when my father passed away. He lived to be 74 and 360 days, dying only five days before his 75th birthday from a short battle with lung cancer. Before his illness halted his life, my father was known for his intentional and random acts of kindness. Ever since I was a child, he had the habit of going on long walks at night, sometimes not coming home until midnight or later, either walking the family dog, or walking laps around the track near our house. When my parents retired to Florida, he’d take long walks around the winding culs-de-sac in their neighborhood.
