Do not think about your lack of dream or goal. You don’t need to feel any pressure to do anything other than survive. The burden of this grief will slowly loosen its stranglehold on you, and dreams and goals will slowly return — probably different than they have ever been. Thank you for continuing to write through all of this. I know, for me at least, it helps me to have a window in which I can see you surviving. I want to know that you’re breathing but don’t want to intrude. And I’m sure for the other people in your life who love you, who don’t want to burden you in any way, they feel similarly. We want to look through your window without barging in through your door. Your writing is so important. You are so important.
